![]() ![]() ![]() I heard an EXTREMELY muffled use of the MF word in the background of one scene, and sometimes (on my platform, Microsoft movies and television), it pops up in subtitles.Ĭonsumption and sexuality are nonpresent explicitly, other than a kiss or two, some mild sexual references, one slightly graphic strip search of a male (no nudity), and possibly some minor social drinking. Language: Fairly common use of s-t and d-n. Also the film revolves around the brutal murder of a young woman (18) and various other crimes, but they are only discussed. One of these scenes involves the execution of a man who you grow to care about (Everything except the actual thing is shown on screen). Though there is no gore in this film and very little blood (other than a bloody nose of two), the violence and intense moments are almost all racially fueled and may upset some viewers, no matter what age. Violence: Some heated arguments, some leading to physical contact. Jordan, Jaime Foxx, and even Brie Larson give staggeringly good performances in this film. ![]() Though it does fall under many cliches of the genre, but it’s based off a true story, so I’ll cut it much slack. It is based of the true story of Bryan Stevenson. Just Mercy is a film about a man who is wrongly convicted of a crime due to the color of his skin. ![]()
